Marc Marano, Principal - Solpoints, LLC

With over 20 years experience providing design solutions for brand environments, exhibits, events and museum projects, Marc Marano continues to focus on creative projects through his design consulting firm Solpoints, LLC.

From 1984 to 1999, Marc was employed by LEGO Systems, Inc. Starting has a model builder, Marc pioneered the use of animation in brick models and setup and managed the exhibit and animation departments in Special Events of L.S.I. As Senior Exhibit Designer and Art Director, Marc designed, flagship stores, boutiques, exhibits, and specialty retail projects including interactive displays, brand merchandising, museum, theme park, and animation projects. Directed projects and departments including negotiating contracts, with clients and vendors, budgeting, planning, training and guiding designers. Project manager for LEGO MindStorms and LEGO Media from 1997 to 1999. These two start-up companies required exhibits, retail and product development. Directed all aspects of exhibit concept design and development, show production and installation of show in many venues including Epcot Innovations, E3 and Royal Academy of Art in London.

Since 1999, Marc has continued to build on his brand design expertise as design consultant for Yankee Candle (2000 to present) and providing design and management services to agencies, architects, event, exhibit, retail and manufacturing companies.

With a passion for 3D design, Marc hand sketches ideas and rapidly interprets them into 3D models, renderings, graphics and 2D technical designs. Background includes solar design and fabrication and environmentally friendly material use. Extensive design management experience including exhibit projects with Disney and Lucas Films.

Continuing education includes 1975 - 1978 Montserrat School of Visual Arts – Fine Arts, 1989 University of Massachusetts - Architectural design, and 1990 - 1999 STCC – AutoCAD and Web design.
